A derelict house on Long Lane Letterkenny was set alight in a suspected arson attack last weekend.
The incident occurred at Fairgreen Hill between 7.30-7.50pm on Saturday 4th May.
Fire crews attended the scene and quickly brought the blaze under control.
Gardaí are now seeking witnesses to establish if this was a deliberate arson attack.
A garda spokesperson said: “Thankfully nobody was hurt as a result of the fire on this occasion but we are eager to establish how the fire started or who started it as it would be a very different type of appeal had someone been hurt or killed which is always a real possibility when fire is involved.”
