Watch: Ewe won’t believe what present this groom gave to his bride!

A Letterkenny wedding reception was interrupted by a ‘woolly’ big surprise last weekend.

As wedding gifts go, Cahal McCloskey has set the bar high.

The Dungiven man stunned his wife Sinead, also from Dungiven, by bringing a baa-rillient extra guest to their reception at the Silver Tassie Hotel on Saturday.

Cahal used his groom’s speech to introduce Sinead to her gift, which was a cute blacknose lamb. The animal, dressed in a bow, was just a little sheepish about the whole event.

Nobody knew about the fluffy arrival but Cahal and his best man Peter, who kept the secret right up to the priceless moment.

Award-winning Silver Tassie Wedding Coordinator Georgina Howley had plotted with Cahal before the wedding to arrange the surprise.

Georgina said: “Cahal, who comes from a farming background, told me how Sinead had wanted a blacknose lamb for a year and he wanted to surprise her on the big day.

“No one knew at all, they had the lamb in a van just before the reception and during the groom’s speech the best man sneaked out to get it.

“It was probably one of the biggest surprises we’ve helped with at the Silver Tassie. You can say we do it all now!”

You couldn’t bleat that!
