Hopes for another glorious weekend of sunshine may be dashed as Sun-seekers in Donegal will be faced with a gloomy couple of days.
Met Éireann forecaster Pat Clarke said it is due to be a generally cloudy weekend with temperatures in the mid-teens.
“We’ve had temperatures in the twenties this week but for the weekend and early next week, we’ll have a fresher regime,” Mr Clarke told RTE Radio One.
“We will have average temperatures in the teens, some in the high teens, and some showers to contend with.
“We will have a little sunshine today, but it will also be generally cloudy.”
If you’ve the opportunity to follow the good weather this weekend, the forecaster said “mid-west and west will be best”.
The weather is expected to be dry for Monday and Tuesday, with sunny spells and “just the odd shower” expected.
Highest temperatures will be between 14 and 18 degrees.
