As part of ‘National Volunteer Week’ Minister Joe McHugh took time out to acknowledge the tireless work and commitment of one of Donegal’s hardest working and most committed community volunteers.
Katie Callaghan, who is at the centre of all aspects of community life in Killygordon, was honoured by the Donegal TD on Sunday.
Callaghan has been heavily involved in the ‘Crossroads and Killygordon’ project for decades.
Katie is involved in looking after St. Patrick’s Church, the local community hall, the weekly bingo and is a former caretaker of ‘Dromore National School.
