A school bus service for children in Termon and Kilmacrennan who attend schools in Milford will be in place from September again.
Local election candidate Eimer Friel Friel, who works for Education Minister Joe McHugh, says she’s delighted with confirmation of the route.
“I’ve been working with Department officials to give early certainty to parents and students and I’m delighted to be informed by my colleagues in the Department that this route will be on again for the new academic year,” said Friel.
“I want to pay tribute to all the mums and dads for their help and assistance with this. I’ve been in constant contact with parents over the past few weeks.
“I will now work to ensure the service runs annually so that parents have certainty from 2020 and into 2021 and beyond.”
The Milford Area Fine Gael candidate added: “I also want to thank my colleague Minister for Education and Skills Joe McHugh who has worked so hard with me for this solution today.”
