Donegal islanders will today vote ahead of the rest of the country in what will perhaps be the last time they will go to the polls early.
Voters on a number of islands including Tory and Arranmore will cast their ballots.
However, plans are afoot to allow islanders to vote at the same time as the rest of the country in future elections.
