Finn Valley College was delighted to host their annual School Prize Giving Awards Ceremony on Thursday 23rd of May.

Mr Martin Reilly, former Donegal GAA Player and a member of MacCumhaills GAA Club was guest of honour. Martin delivered an inspiring speech on his own educational journey to becoming a primary school teacher. Martin also discussed the need for dedication, focus, hard work and motivation to achieve in life and particularly in his own new business O’Reilly Sportswear.

Also in attendance was Mr Joe O Donnell, Board of Management Representative and Mrs Vivienne Merritt Parents Representative. Mrs Mc Geehan was the MC for the event.

This evening is very significant as the school recognises the achievements of the students in the following areas – academic achievements, sports, social skills, well being skills, volunteering to help others and extra curricular achievements such as The Health Promotion Team, Girls Active and Gaisce.

Finn Valley College Principal Mr Thompson delivered a motivational speech on the need to study and focus on upcoming exams. He also thanked and welcomed all parents and guardians for their support to Finn Valley College.

The choir provided wonderful entertainment under the guidance of Miss Treanor, Miss Mc Cafferty and Mrs Linden.
