Naomh Conaill defeated Gaoth Dobhair this evening in Magheragallon to stay joint top of Division One.

Gaoth Dobhair 1-5 Naomh Conaill 0-12

Dermot Molloy’s six points were key as Naomh Conaill overcame the defending Division One winners.

James Carroll’s goal just after the changeover gave Gaoth Dobhair hope, but the Ulster champions had ‘keeper Christopher Sweeney red carded late in the first half.

Odhrán Mac Niallais kicked a couple of points for Gaoth Dobhair, but Molloy’s six and three by John O’Malley gave Naomh Conaill a deserved win.

Scorers – Gaoth Dobhair: James Carroll 1-0, Odhrán Mac Niallais 0-2, Eamonn Collum, Niall Friel, Gavin McBride 0-1 each

Naomh Conaill: Dermot Molloy 0-6, John O’Malley 0-3, Charles McGuinness, Anthony Thompson, John O’Malley 0-1 each
