The countdown is on to one of the biggest social events of the year in Letterkenny – the inaugural No Barriers Foundation Charity Ball.

The black-tie event takes place in Castle Grove Country House on Saturday the 8th of June. It promises to be a sparkling summer celebration in aid of a much-valued local service.

Tickets are being snapped up quickly and there are limited numbers remaining, so make sure to get yours to avoid disappointment. Tel: 0749111010 to book tickets.

The special evening will include food, drinks and fantastic entertainment in the beautiful surroundings of Castle Grove.

A charity auction promises to thrill and there will be special guests to keep everyone entertained throughout the night. Afterwards, local band Raw will be rocking the dancefloor into the early hours.

The event will also be an opportunity to see the work of the No Barriers Foundation, which provides specialist rehabilitation services in the north west.

The No Barriers Exoskeleton will be demonstrated on the night. This state-of-the-art robotic technology was purchased in 2018 to enable local people diagnosed with spinal injury, stroke, MS, and brain injury, amongst others, to stand up and walk.

No Barriers Physiotherapist David Hone demonstrates the Exoskeleton with No Barriers Chairman Johnny Loughrey at the launch of the No Barriers Charity Ball at Castle Grove Country House on 8th June 2019

All proceeds raised from the No Barriers Ball will fund the future of the foundation, which operates the only Exoskeleton suit in Ireland that is available for public use and is fully staffed five days a week.

The No Barriers foundation also plan to invest in exercise equipment to create an inclusive gym environment where wheelchair users and those with varying levels of mobility can train side by side with others within their community.

If you would like to support the positive steps taken by No Barriers, why not come along to the charity ball and enjoy a fun night out for a great cause. Castle Grove is wheelchair accessible and everyone is very welcome on the night.

Remaining tickets are available from JT Physiotherapy, Ramelton Rd, Letterkenny. Tel: 0749111010
