People in Donegal will need to pack their umbrellas today as unseasonal weather strikes the county.
Heavy downpours, hail and thunder have all been forecast in the north west this Monday.
After a wet start, showers are expected to become even more frequent and heavier this afternoon.
Met Eireann forecasters have warned of a ‘risk of thunder and hail in parts’ during the widespread showers.
Temperatures will also feel cool today, with highs of 12-14C.
The showers are expected to become more isolated overnight with long clear spells forecast.
Conditions will be brighter tomorrow, Tuesday, as it will be generally dry with a mix of cloud and sunshine.
