Carndonagh Community School star Ellie Long is the latest Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week in association with O’Reilly’s.

Carndonagh CS student Long polled a whopping 43 per cent of the votes this week, taking 703 votes of the total 1,654 that were cast.

Carndonagh CS continued their winning ways at national level last week. Carn overcame Presentation SS from Wexford 3-2 at Oriel Park in the FAI Schools First Year Girls National Cup final.

Ellie Long bagged a brace of goals for Carn in the memorable win and has now got her latest accolade.

Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jacket and a bobble hat, supplied by O’Reilly’s.

O’Reilly’s Sportswear was founded in 2017 by well-known Twin Towns sporting brothers Steven and Martin O’Reilly.

Our awards are presented in monthly batches and our latest presentations will take place next week.
