A popular Donegal farmer has taken on a side job of acting as he stars in a new comedy series on BBC.
Bobby Patterson from Raphoe is one of the main characters in Northern Ireland’s first scripted reality series – There’s No Place Like Tyrone.
The 47-year-old part-time farmer features in the series with his girlfriend Lynda Hamilton.
There’s No Place Like Tyrone features real life characters, but events have been constructed purely for the series. The show skips around the Mid-Ulster Countryside and into the lives of some of the people who live or work there.
The three-part series began on BBC1 Northern Ireland on Monday night, when Bobby’s scenes as a bewildered lingerie shopper left locals in stitches.
Episode two will see Bobby and Linda having their weekly date night – at the mart!
The second episode airs on Monday 10th June at 10.35pm on BBC1 NI
