Michael Murphy will lead Donegal into an eighth Ulster final as county captain in two weeks’ time – and the Glenswilly man has warned his men not to take this lightly.
Donegal passed a mammoth task yesterday evening in beating Tyrone in the semi-final.

Murphy’s fingerprints were all over the 1-16 to 0-15 win. Murphy says the experience of previous missed chances should drive Donegal over the next fortnight.
“We know from being in finals and being on the wrong side of them, how difficult they are to win,” Murphy told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“It’s good to get the win. At the same time, we were here in 2016 and had a very good victory against a very good Monaghan side and failed to get the Ulster title.”
After defeats in each of their previous three games against Tyrone, Murphy agreed that this was an important moment for this Donegal squad.
He said: “It was important that this group experienced a victory against one of the bigger sides and it pushes us on.
“All it does is put us into the final. This group will regroup and get back into training again. They’ll be back in training chomping at the bit.”
Donegal led by seven points after a super first half, but had just four to spare in the end.
Murphy said: “They went slightly more defensive in the second half and were a hell of a lot more aggressive. It would have been foolish to push on really hard, but we managed to get out of it what we wanted.”
