One of Inishowen’s busiest roads has closed this morning for vital resurfacing work by the Donegal County Council.
The main road between Clonmany and Drumfries closed at 8am on Wednesday morning (June 12), and will remain closed until Friday, June 14 at 7pm.
The resurfacing work will take place on the Cloontagh road junction for approximately 1km towards the North Pole Bar at Drumfries.
Alternative Route can be seen below:
- The diversion route will work both ways on the regional road network – (R238 / R244).
- From Buncrana – diversion will start at Dumfries, over the Carn Mountain (R244) to Carndonagh, Ballyliffin and Clonmany
- The return leg will start in Clonmany to Ballyliffin, Carndonagh, Carn Mountain Drumfries and Buncrana.
