Man suffers serious head injury in daytime attack

A man has suffered serious injuries following an attack in Milford on Monday evening.

The shocking incident occurred on Main Street Milford during daylight hours at around 5.45pm.

The man was set upon and assaulted, resulting in a serious head injury. He was rushed by ambulance to hospital for treatment.

Gardaí are investigating the attack and appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
