MYA ALCORN has been named on the Ireland Under-18 Women Sevens squad for the Paris World Games this weekend.

Alcorn, who plays for Letterkenny Rugby Club, will be part of an Irish panel that faces opposition from France and Canada.

The Termon woman was absent due to injury for a time last season.
Alcorn has previously turned out for Ulster at interprovincial level.

There are 12 players named on the Irish panel.

On Saturday, Ireland will face Canada’s NRU Thunder and Celtic Barbarians (kick-off, 11am and 2.20pm Irish time respectively).

They will close day one against ASS Sarcelles (4.40pm) before taking on Brest (11.20am) and Massy (3pm) on Sunday, with play-offs to follow later in the evening.
