Cloughaneely Golf: Owenie McGee clinches double victory in competitive week

Owenie McGee did the double last week winning the Wednesday Open and then the Sunday Singles too.

Club notes:

Well done Owenie now down to 15! Last Sunday’s Competition was won by Owenie McGee with a score of 39 points.

He was followed by young Ryan McCallion with 36pts and Stephen McCafferty 3rd with 35pts. Cloughaneely Golf Club are running a weekly Open Singles Stableford every Wednesday.

The entry is only €10pp for Visitors. GUI and ILGU qualifying open to Ladies and Gents.

This really is a great value, our greens are rolling excellent and are well worth a visit. Owenie Pro won last Wednesday with Conor Ó Gallchóir second with 36pts.

The Competition this Friday is a 9 Hole Singles Stableford open to all. We welcome Buncrana Golf Club this Sunday at 11.30am in the Junior Scratch matchplay.

Seven matches will tee-off at home in Cloughaneely best of luck and all support welcome. The weekend competition is a Singles Stableford golfers are encouraged to play anytime on Saturday or from 8-9am or after 2pm on Sunday.  Our Open Week will run from 16th to 21st July more details to follow next week.
