Traffic and parking notice issued for Leck Blessing of the Graves

The Leck Graveyard Service of Remembrance will take place in Letterkenny this Sunday 14th July.

The Old Leck service will be held at 4pm and the New Leck service is at 5pm.

To safely faciliate traffic and attendees, Gardaí have issued the following notice:

“All fit and able-bodied people attending the Leck Graveyard services are requested to walk.

“For those who must drive, a one way traffic system will be implemented along Leck Road towards Cullion Cross roads. All vehicular traffic approaching Leck graveyard from Cullion Cross Roads is requested to turn for home before parking and face back towards Cullion Cross Roads.

“All vehicular traffic approaching Leck graveyard from the Oldtown direction and parking along Leck Road, past Lismonaghan Hill Junction are also requested to park facing in the direction of Cullion Cross roads.

“Drivers are requested not to park in graveyard gateways in the event of an ambulance needing access. Disabled parking is available in the graveyard and when exiting same a left turn towards Cullion Crossroads is only permitted. Due to large attendance please leave in good time to arrive for Services.

“Old Leck Graveyard service is at 4pm and the service at New Leck graveyard is at 5pm.

“Your assistance and patience is very much appreciated.”
