Leah Gallen confirmed on Irish squad for European Youth Championships

LEAH GALLEN’S PLACE on the Irish squad for the 2019 European Youth Championships has been confirmed.

The Raphoe ABC welterweight won her fifth Irish title on Saturday in winning the Irish U18 crown, with a victory over Mary Enright.

Gallen was a bronze medalist at the 2018 European Juniors in Russia and now she gets a crack at the Youths.

Gallen has been announced on a 19-strong Irish panel that will travel to Bulgaria and will be Ireland’s 69kgs representative.
