CASTLEFIN CELTIC toasted a historic season at an end-of-season function in McGlynn’s Restaurant, Castlefin.

The Parkview club won a first ever Donegal League Premier Division title this season.

Castlefin copper-fastened the triumph with an emphatic 5-1 win over Kildrum Tigers, the previous season’s champions, in May.

Ronan Tourish bagged a double with Corrie Lee Bogan, Raymond Foy and Emmet White on the mark to pop the champagne.

Sunday Team Top Goalscorer: JP Malley

Paddy Mc Nulty Memorial Young Player Of The Year: Rory Dalton

Merit Award: Joe McGee

From St Johnston and now based in Letterkenny, Chris was a nominee for NUJ Sports Journalist of the Year in 2010. Honoured by the Donegal Boxing Board in 2016 for his coverage on the sport.
