Families are going to love the newest addition to ‘A Taste of Donegal Food Festival’ this year – which is just for kids.

Children will have their own fun foodie space for two days when the popular Food Festival returns to the Donegal Town Pier from 23rd-25th August.

A full programme has been revealed for the new kids’ marquee from Saturday-Sunday 24-25th August, including fun interactive workshops, cookery demonstrations by award-winning celebrity chefs, experts on Education, Sustainability, & Biodiversity with some balloon magic and an Agri Aware Open Farm.

The marquee will incorporate a bespoke kitchen from Cherrymore Kitchens for budding young chefs to work with the experts and chefs of the festival.

Also, to celebrate Heritage Week, an awareness nature walk will be held around the River Bank in Donegal Town.

The walk will take place on Sunday 25th August at 12noon with Aengus Kennedy of Nature North West. The aim of the new tour is to nurture a feeling of protection and appreciation in children and adults for the plants and animals in this local habitat.
