The competition last weekend was the Buncrana Hearts FC annual fundraising Golf Classic which consisted of a Teams of 4 Open Rumble and an Open Singles Stableford.

There was a great turnout over the two days and the Buncrana Hearts FC would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors and competitors for contributing to the success of this fundraising event.
The winning team with a fantastic score of 109 pts was the formidable combination of Brian Bradley (12), Evan Doherty (21), Stephen Mc Gonagle (22) and Patrick Doherty (22).
This team played some tremendous golf and also included the overall singles winner Stephen Mc Gonagle (22) who shot a very impressive 44 pts to take first prize and Evan Doherty (21) who returned 42 pts.

Competition
The competition this weekend Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August will be the Michael Fitzpatrick Memorial Open Stroke. This competition is one of the biggest competitions on the calendar and with the high esteem Michael was held in with the local golfing fraternity it always attracts a great turnout.
As always the Fitzpatrick Family have a tremendous array of prizes on offer and it would be advisable to book a tee time as there is a timesheet in operation.
Find the Joker Fundraising
The “Find the Joker” is up and running again with a Jackpot of €775.00, lines only cost €2 each and this draw is open to members and non-members alike. Lines can be purchased in the clubhouse or through chief seller Oliver Doherty.
Juvenile Lessons
Juvenile Lessons for boys & girls have commenced on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the cost is €5.00.
A.I.B. Teams of 3 Open Scramble
The winners of the mid-week A.I.B. Teams of 3 Open Scramble was the formidable team of Pauric O’ Flaherty (3), Benny Murphy (7) and Michael V. Dessel (12). This team shot a very impressive 10 birdies to amass their winning total of 50 pts, but it took a break of a tie to see of Caolan Mc Laughlin (11), Kevin Mc Colgan (14) and Dermot Doherty (24) who finished in second place.
Meal Deal Competition
The winner of last Thursdays Meal Deal was Jonny Morrison (9) 39 pts and the Meal Deal Competition will run every Thursday and the cost to enter this competition is €18.00 for members and €25.00 for visitors.
The competition entry includes an 18 hole open Stableford and a fantastic two-course meal in the award-winning Drift Inn Bar & Restaurant after your game.
Don’t despair if you can’t use your meal deal voucher on the day of the competitions it can be used on Fridays as well.
This is the best meal deal about and with the greens the best in the county it’s an excellent opportunity to experience the course and savour some fantastic food afterwards.
