Home draw for Glengad in FAI Senior Cup second round

GLENGAD UNITED have been rewarded for their FAI Senior Cup progress with a home draw in the second round.

Glengad have been drawn at home to SSE Airtricity League Premier Division outfit Waterford United in the second round draw.

The draw was made today at FAI headquarters in Abbotstown.

Inishowen League side Glengad overcame St Michael’s of Tipperary on penalties on Saturday following a scoreless draw at Cooke Park. Earlier in the year, Shane Byrne’s men – semi-finalists in the 2018/19 FAI Junior Cup – defeated Home Farm in the FAI Senior Cup qualifying round.

Derry City, meanwhile, have been drawn at home to Dundalk.

The games are down for the weekend ending August 25.
