Job Vacancy: Childcare Service Manager and Afterschool Leader sought by Newtowncunningham Community Playgroup

Childcare Service Manager

Newtowncunningham Community Playgroup is looking for an experienced Childcare Service Manager to lead a dedicated team of early childhood professionals at the well-established pre-school and afterschool facility.

This full time, permanent position comes with a competitive salary of €15-17 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This diverse role of Childcare Service Manager is ideal for an energetic, motivated professional with a keen interest in providing quality early childhood services for children and families.

The successful candidate must have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a Manager role or at least 3 years’ experience in a Deputy/senior role and hold as a minimum, a FETAC Level 6 (or recognised equivalent) in a childcare/management qualification.

Candidates who hold a Level 7/8 qualification are preferred.

All candidates will be subject to Garda Vetting and 2 written references.

After-School Leader

Please note this position is for 26 hrs per week (1.30pm – 6.30pm Monday to Friday) inclusive of 1 hour planning 

We are seeking an experienced, caring and self-motivated childcare professional After-school Leader to take full responsibility for the running of our after-school sessions.

The person must have at least 2 year’s experience in a similar role.

Degree level or FETAC Level 6 with further relevant qualifications i.e Child Protection, FAR Training & HACCP training desirable.
