A man has been hospitalised following an alleged ‘one-punch’ assault in Buncrana last Friday night.
Gardaí are investigating the incident which occurred outside a pub on Main Street Buncrana at around 9.30pm.
The man was punched as he left a local premises and fell to the ground, banging his head and suffering serious injuries.
The suspect is believed to have fled the scene.
Gardaí have confirmed that they are gathering and viewing CCTV footage from the area.
