Killybegs Coast Guard attend scene after angler goes missing

An angler who got separated from his friends while they were fishing had to be rescued by Killybegs Coast Guard on Sunday morning. 

Killybegs Coast Guard were tasked to the Rossbeg scene in west Donegal this morning to help the angler.

The Coast Guard unit arrived shortly afterwards including members from the Bunbeg Coast Guard Unit, Rescue 118, Gardai, Donegal Mountain rescue and locals from the area.

Following a brief search, the male victim was located after 12:30am on Sunday morning.

The angler was checked to see if he needed medical assistance but was fine.
