Letterkenny Gaels senior footballers  were presented with the Jimmy McGlynn Catering Division Four Trophy on Saturday evening after claiming maximum points over Na Rossa and Pettigo over the weekend.

The Glebe men traveled to Dooey on Friday evening knowing that a victory would guarantee Division Three status next season while a win over Pettigo would ensure the League title.

As it happens Sean McBrearty’s charges recorded a good win over the Lettermacaward side and with Pettigo unable to field on Saturday evening the Gaels were crowned Division 4 champions with one league game remaining.

This was an impressive season for the Letterkenny side who only lost one of their league games which was against Moville who will also join the Gaels in Division 3.

The Gaels now turn their attention to the Junior Championship which will commence in the coming weeks.
