Listen: Barry Doherty says League has fine-tuned Kilcar for Championship battle

BARRY DOHERTY believes that Kilcar’s fine campaign in Division One will stand to them for their assault on the Donegal SFC.

Kilcar were presented with the League trophy after a win over Milford yesterday extended their unbeaten run to 17 games. They have one fixture left – against Naomh Conaill next weekend.

“We’ve done well all year and they’re a fantastic bunch of lads,” Doherty told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“We had tight games and to keep unbeaten has been very good from them. Down the line in a couple of weeks’ time, we’ll have to pull one out of the bag, but you’d hope the experience of days like that will help us to do enough to get over the line.

“We’ve used a lot of players and everyone has gained good experience. It’s good preparation for the Championship.”
