Beauparc Utility Group, Ireland’s largest private waste management firm, has announced the acquisition of WERS Waste.

WERS Waste is the Tuam-based company which began operating in Donegal in 2017 after taking over business from Ferry’s Refuse.

WERS Waste was established in 1989 by the Gleeson family and provides services to over 30,000 customers throughout Connaught and Donegal.

The acquisition by Beauparc will bring the company’s nationwide customer base to in excess of 325,000 homes and businesses.

Commenting on the acquisition, Brian McCabe, Managing Director of Beauparc said; “The acquisition of WERS Waste further expands our nationwide footprint and consolidates our position as key player in sustainable utility solutions”

“We are looking forward to servicing our new communities. WERS customers can expect to receive the highest level of customer service, and a guarantee that 100% of the material collected will be recycled or recovered for energy.”

WERS Directors Pat, Martin and Paul Gleeson will concentrate on growing their plastics recycling business at their Weir Road facility in Tuam. Plastics recovered from WERS customers will continue to be handled at this facility.
