The Ulster-Scots community received a boost today (Mon) as a new round of Music and Dance Tuition funding was announced for next year.
The popular funding stream provides financial support to voluntary and community groups who offer Ulster-Scots music and dance tuition within their local area.
In 2019, over 100 groups benefitted from the Ulster-Scots Agency’s tuition funding programme and this year. The agency is welcoming applicants from new and existing groups.
Speaking about the programme, Derek Reaney, Development Officer, Ulster-Scots Agency commented: “The Ulster-Scots Agency’s Music and Dance Tuition Funding programme has made a very positive impact on a wide range of groups in the local community here in Donegal.
“This year, significant changes have been made to the Agency’s application process and I would encourage groups throughout the area to make every effort to attend our workshop in Raphoe.”
To help groups apply for funding under the new application process, the Ulster-Scots Agency in partnership with the Ulster-Scots Community Network will be hosting a number of funding workshops throughout Ulster.
A tuition funding workshop is scheduled to take place at the Ulster-Scots Agency’s Regional Office at William Street, Raphoe, Co. Donegal from 7:45pm.
All interested groups are strongly encouraged to attend this informative evening that will help with their application.
