RAPHOE Rockets got the better of Milford United in Monday’s Donegal Women’s League Under-12 Trophy final in Milford.

Samara McBrearty put Raphoe ahead early on with Ella McCarton extending the lead shortly after.

Raphoe dominated the first half with a further two goals by Samara McBrearty to make it 4-0 going in at the break.

A revived Milford side came out firing in the second half and Lauren McMcBride pulled one back.

The Raphoe defence was under pressure with Chloe McConigley-Blaney going close and only for a vital tackle by Enya McBride on Ria Handman, Milford could have been within a goal of Raphoe.

Abbie Harkin pulled off a great block from a thunderous shot by Hannah Goudie.

Erin Neilis scored the goal of the game with 15 minutes remaining.

As time ran out Aine O’Flanaghan sealed the victory for Raphoe.
