Some familiar faces will be on our TV screens tonight as Turas Bóthair returns for a new series on TG4.

The fly-on-the-dashboard driving programme follows people as they talk in their cars.

And five Donegal characters have shared their journeys with the cameras.

In the programme, we’ll see country music fans Michael Mulhern and John Cannain from Falcarragh, taxi driver Grace Bonner, and passengers Danny Rua Ó Dhomhnaill and Kathleen Sweeney, both from Gweedore.

Turas Bóthair airs tonight (Thursday 5th September) at 8pm on TG4.

The reality show allows viewers to eavesdrop on real conversations as they happen in cars.

Expect moments of joy and sadness, comedy and tragedy, love and loss, friendship and romance, despair and hope as drivers and passengers share their personal stories and views.

In the first episode, people will be sharing their differing views on the benefits of cannabis oil, chat about hipsters, dementia, transgender rights and conspiracy theories.
