The Donegal Women in Business Network is celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year with the theme of #LookingBackMovingForward.

The non-profit group is looking back over decades of female entrepreneurship in Donegal while looking ahead to the future of business in the county.

They are also launching a celebration ebook about local women in business. For this ebook, they are calling on the Donegal public to help shed a light on events of the year 1999.

What stories dominated the news? What was your favourite song in 1999? Were there any big events, special county visits or concerts? What new businesses opened up? What was in style?

If you have some memories to share, Evelyn Mc Glynn, PRO of the Donegal Women in Business Network, wants to hear from you. Please email evelynmcmarketing@gmail.com in the next two weeks. Any news, big or small, would be greatly appreciated for possible inclusion in the ebook.

The countdown is on to the Donegal Women in Business Conference in Lough Eske Castle on October 1st. The event will celebrate all women in business in Donegal, with speakers sharing key inspiration and advice.

A varied mix of businesswomen and representatives from many industries and stages of business will be sharing their stories. The keynote speakers are Rosaleen Hegarty of Crana Knits, Inspirational Speaker Sr Helen Kelly, Laura Bonner of Muff Liquor Co and Rosy Temple of Magee 1866.

Tickets are available now at https://bit.ly/2MjteJT

Tickets include a full-day of speakers and networking with lunch and the “Looking Back Moving Forward” 20th anniversary celebratory book will be gifted to everyone on the day.

You do not have to be a member of the network to attend the conference.
