A mother and son who have walked and ran for Autism Awareness for more than 80 days from Cork to Donegal along the Wild Atlantic Way will conclude their journey next week.

Doctor Susan Crawford and her son Tomás, who have been walking and running a distance of 2,500km since March 23, will continue their journey from Bridgend to Buncrana tomorrow (Sun).

The walk had the aim of raising awareness for Autism Awareness, Autism Active and highlight the lack of services for young autistic adults and children.

The duo travelled through Crolly, Dore, Bunbeg, Derrybeg, Glassagh, Cnoc Fola, Magheroarty, Gortahork and Falcarragh last week.

Members from ICARE and Sonas Youth-club will travel with the pair on Sunday from 10am from Blackthorn Amusements in Bridgend.

Members of the public are being urged to come out and show support, with light refreshments being served CARE centre in Buncrana following their arrival.
