Gardai are investigating a break-in to a house in St Johnston yesterday morning.

The culprits broke into the house at Railway Road while elderly owner of the house, understood to be in her 80s, was at church.

The burglary happened between 11am and midday.

One theory being investigated by Gardai is that the raiders are watching the routines of older people.

They are understood to be specifically targeting people who are attending local churches and leaving their homes unattended.

The latest raid has caused outrage on social media.
