Business owners and the public are being warned that a person is attempting to pass forged €50 notes in Letterkenny this week.
The Letterkenny Chamber issued the alert via Facebook on Monday, warning staff to be on alert for fraudulent activity and take necessary steps to check all cash.
A message from ShopLK warned “Person trying to pass Fake €50 notes in Letterkenny today. Please check all notes at all times.”
Retailers and members of the public are advised to be extra-vigilant and contact Letterkenny Garda Station if they notice any suspicious activity.
