KILCAR MANAGER Barry Doherty says his team have work to do yet.

Kilcar overcame Bundoran at Gaelic Park this afternoon, Ryan McHugh netting the goal in a 1-16 to 1-11 win.

“We’re just happy to get out of here with a win,” Doherty told Paddy McGill of Ocean FM afterwards.

“The first half we did well. We started poorly in the second half and that led into the whole second half.

“We were nowhere near good enough in the second half. Time is on our side and we’ll try to iron out the problems.”

Doherty confirmed that the absences of Ciaran McGinley and Michael Hegarty were ‘precautionary’ and he expects the duo back for next week, when they host Termon in Towney.
