ULSTER CHAMPIONS Gaoth Dobhair will defend Dr Maguire next weekend against Bundoran as the quarter-final draws were made this evening.

The draws were conducted at Pairc Naomh Columba in Glenswilly.

Kilcar, the 2017 champions, will face old south-west foes Killybegs in a feisty quarter-final meeting.

St Eunan’s scraped through to the last eight after Conall Dunne’s late point and seven scores by Niall O’Donnell secured a dramatic draw away to St Michael’s.

The Cathedral Town men will face Milford, who qualified as group winners, in another quarter-final, while Naomh Conaill will also be in derby action. The Glenties men, who have lost the last two senior finals, will take on Glenfin, who secured a last eight berth in their first year back at senior level.

In the senior championship relegation play-offs, Malin will take on Four Masters with Dungloe meeting Ardara and the losers to meet to determine who drops to the 2020 Intermediate Championship.

There is a tasty meeting of Naomh Columba and St Naul’s from Division 2 in the Intermediate Championship quarter-finals, while Aodh Ruadh will face a resurgent Naomh Muire.

Division 1 Cloughaneely will meet Naomh Colmcille after topping their group, while Naomh Brid and Red Hughs will meet again next weekend having crossed swords last night.

Burt will get two chances at Intermediate Championship survive after being drawn against Naomh Ultan in a survival semi-final with the loser of that tie to take on Downings,

In the Junior Championship, favourites Buncrana have been handed an Inishowen derby against Moville, while Letterkenny Gaels have been paired with Carndonagh.

The draws were also made for the Senior B and Intermediate B quarter-finals.
