Raphoe Family Resource Centre provide Computer and internet access, photocopying, CV preparation and weekly employment lists via email. If you need any help on these areas, please call in to us or give us a call. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Classes

Raphoe Family Resource Centre are hosting a Mindfulness based Stress Reduction Class starting on Tuesday 29th October at 7pm for 6 weeks. Cost is €20. Limited places available. For further information or to book a place contact Melanie or Laura on 074)9145796 or 0873641503.

Raphoe Boxing Club

Congratulations to Georgia Mae Doherty who is the newly crowned Ulster Novice 36KG’s Champion and her club mate Ryley Doherty will box in the Ulster 9 County Novice Final at 46kg’s next weekend in Belfast. On Friday morning next the Raphoe boxing club select team will travel to Humberside, England for a major dinner show at the K.C. Stadium, Hull when they will face the cream of boxers from St. Pauls Boxing Academy, Hull and many Irish and English champions will feature on the 14 bout programme. Best wishes to boxers Aaron Mc Daid, Liam Mc Monagle, Daire Feeney, Tom Doherty and Dennis Lafferty who now boxes for the Lifford Boxing Club and to coaches Gary Mc Cullagh and Gerard Keaveney for every success at this bumper tournament.

Carnone Annual Autumn Sale & Auction

The annual autumn sale and auction will be held in Carnone Hall on Wednesday 23rd October at 7.30PM. Usual stalls and teas available. Everyone welcome.
Harvest Dance – Carnone
The Harvest dance will take place in Carnone Hall on Friday 25th October. Dancing from 9PM. Admission €8 including supper. Everyone Welcome.

Something Special Group – Drop-In Support Morning

If you are a parent/guardian of a child or children with a physical/sensory/intellectual disability; Autism Spectrum Disorder; dyslexia/dyspraxia; or delayed communication and feel you need to talk to others in similar situations please feel free to come along. Types of support given are listening ear, help with applications, information sharing, and signposting to other support services and interventions. Toddler Group

Little Smiles with Big Dreams Toddler Group will meet every Thursday from 10.30am to 12noon in the Presbyterian Hall, Meetinghouse Street, Raphoe. Anyone who is in the care of a child parent(s)/guardian/aunt/uncle/child-minder or grandparent is welcome. Toddler groups are a great way to enhance your little one’s confidence and meet others of similar age. A light snack is provided for the kids while adults can enjoy a wee cuppa and chat! Cost €2 per family.

Helping Hands Scheme

Do you live alone or are no longer in a position, due to age or disability, to carry out odd jobs? Raphoe Family Resource Centre, supported by DLDC Tus Scheme have a helping hands project were odd jobs can be carried out such as grass cutting, path clearing, tidy ups, painting etc. Only outdoor work is permitted. Raphoe Walking Group

Raphoe Walking Group meet every Thursday morning at 10.30am, here in the FRC. Come along and join the group for a walk and a cuppa!!

Seniors Alert Scheme

Raphoe Family Resource Centre is registered under Pobal’s Senior Alert Scheme to provide personal alarms to those over 65 years living alone for significant periods of time during the day, or is a carer to someone else in their household. The purpose of the scheme is to enable older persons of limited means to continue to live securely in their own homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind providing them with a free personal monitored alarm which can be worn as a pendant or around their wrist like a watch. Are you interested in up skilling? Would you like to learn about computers?

Are you from the Raphoe area? Donegal ETB will be starting a beginner’s computer course on Tuesday 24th September from 10am-1pm in the Volt House, Raphoe. On this course you will build your knowledge and skills, and gain more confidence in working with computers. This is a part-time course, free of charge and delivered to small groups in a relaxed atmosphere. Raphoe Friday Club

The Friday Club meets every Friday morning in the Volt House from 10.30am-12.30. We would like more in our community to come along and be a part of the Group. There will be events organised over the summer so come along and join in the craic! Refreshments are also provided. Transport is available on Friday mornings and if you require this please phone 0749145462 and arrange.
