YOUNG DELEGATES from GAA clubs all over Donegal attended an excellent ‘Youth Matters’ conference at LYIT on Saturday morning.

Professional boxer Jason Quigley was the guest speaker as he told the packed audience about his career and how he has had to make adjustments and deal with set backs on his journey.

The Ballybofey man also advised on commenting on social media: “Always look at something and ask ‘would I like that said about me?’ before you post,” he said.

Quigley was joined on stage by Donegal ladies player Niamh McLaughlin, who has played soccer at Newcastle United and Sunderland, while Donegal footballers Hugh McFadden and Eoghan Ban Gallagher, ladies footballer Aoibh Faulkner and hurler Danny Cullen all featured.

Charlie Collins was MC of the event, which also saw participants participate in a series of workshops, such as mental health wellbeing, nutrition and lifestyle choices, injury prevention, improving performance and balancing the demands of study and sport.
