Killybegs player scores 3-11 in semi-final, but her team is pipped by a point

SPARE A thought for a Killybegs minor footballer who scored 3-11 on Sunday only to see her side lose out by a point.

Susanne White hit the stunning tally of 3-11 for Killybegs in their minor ladies semi-final against Milford.

White lit up Fintra on Sunday morning, but it was agony at the end.

Her superb scoring exploits were in vain as Milford took the win.

Orlaith Connolly bagged four goals for Milford as they won 6-6 to 3-14.

Kelsey McAteer (1-1) and Aoibhinn McBride (1-0) also scored goals for the Moyle View side, for whom Megan Ryan hit four points and Aisling McCormack also got on the scoresheet.

For White and Killybegs, though, it was a case of ‘what if?’
