Gardai across the county have issued a timely warning following the theft of up to 1,000 litres of home-heating oil from a house in Buncrana.
With winter just around the corner, Gardai say the fuel thieves will be scouring homes to target easy targets.
The oil was taken from the home in the Linsfort area of Buncrana between 10.30am and 1pm on October 10th last.
Gardai have appealed to people to fit their tanks with locks in a bid to make it more difficult for thieves.
