Listen: Roisin Rodgers on how Naomh Muire’s vows of commitment are bearing fruit

ROISIN RODGERS says that Naomh Muire’s run to the Ulster final has come via good old fashioned hard work.

After losing three successive Donegal junior finals, Naomh Muire didn’t want to be in the House of Pain again this year.

Back they came, the sleeves rolled up – and got their title. Now, they stand with Edendork between them and the Holy Grail of an Ulster title.

“We’re all buzzing, the management, the girls, the club and the community,” Rodgers told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“Everyone is looking forward to it.

“We just need to knuckle down and make sure that we’re all set for the game. We have to make sure that we do the simple things right.”

Naomh Muire had to go through extra time to overcome Con Magees in their semi-final at the Banks, but the Lower Rosses side have the hard yards behind them.

Rodgers said: “We have all really committed this year. We knew that we needed to commit. We were in three county finals and lost them, but this year it was just: ‘No more of that’.

“We all went out and committed at the start of the year.”
