Mary’s Meals Donegal Support Group are hosting two special events this weekend to begin their 10th anniversary celebrations.

To start, a thanksgiving mass will be held tonight (Friday) in St Eunan’s Cathedral at 8.15pm and there will be a cup of tea afterwards in the conference room.

On Sunday night there will be a Variety Concert in the Mount Errigal Hotel and there is a fantastic lineup who have volunteered their time to raise funds for this great cause.

Those taking part are Sinead Black, Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal Orchestra, Letterkenny Gaels Scor Youth Group, Alison Quigley School of Dancing, Letterkenny Musical Society and members of Arcannadh Band and Marie O’Donnell. All fantastic acts.

Tickets are €10 and can be bought in a number of outlets including Veritas Bookshop, Clarks Newsagents and McFaddens upper main Street and a number of other outlets. You can also pay at the door on the night. There will also be great prizes to be raffled on the night.

Mary’s Meals are now feeding 1,504, 471 children every school day in a place of education. It only costs €15.60 to feed a child for a full school year. Marys Meals guarantees that 93 cent in every euro raised goes directly to the feeding programme and that only 7 cent per euro is spent on goverance.
