No last orders yet for popular Letterkenny pub

A new era beckons for the Swilly Inn in Letterkenny after a week of ups and downs for locals.

Punters and staff were reportedly shocked last Sunday to learn that the Gortlee pub would cease trading that same day.

The only notice was a sign in the bar thanking customers for their custom and thanking staff for their hard work.

After a week of uncertainty, it has been announced that the bar will reopen for another round under new management.

Customers will miss the beginning of the Bank Holiday weekend at the bar, but a social media post has said that the doors will be back open on Monday 28th October at 1pm.

The Swilly Inn has been a popular watering hole in Letterkenny since 1974. With new management taking over the premises next week, customers can rest assured that the pub won’t be closing down… and that a new venue won’t have to be found for the iconic Little Angels Karaoke Christmas Jumper Party.
