MERYVN O’DONNELL was disappointed is Gaoth Dobhair team didn’t see it out in this afternoon’s Donegal SFC final.

He believed, like many others, that a three-point lead over Naomh Conaill in extra-time would be enough for his side to seal back-to-back Dr Maguire triumphs. However, O’Donnell (pictured above by Evan Logan) and Gaoth Dobhair were glad to get a chance of a third replay on Wednesday night as Seaghan Ferry scored to secure a 0-14 to 1-11.

O’Donnell was full of praise for Naomh Conaill and knows his team will need to at be at their best to have any chance of winning third time out. He spoke to Paddy McGill afterwards.
