LEO McLoone would have come back another time – and insisted that Naomh Conaill still wouldn’t have buckled.

McLoone was to the fore last night as Naomh Conaill overcame Ulster champions Gaoth Dobhair in the second replay of the 2019 Donegal SFC final.

“It’s been a mammoth two weeks.” McLoone told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“It’s been some of the best days and some of the toughest days. There was so much emotion It was a tough two weeks. We’re just delighted to come out at this end of it.

“We just had it in our heads that we weren’t going to give up.

“The manager said we’d just come back here Wednesday, Thursday, Friday night if we have to. We’d just keep coming back and give it our all. We did that over the course of the three games. We showed that we have the players and they’re good enough.”
