There was disappointment for Illies middleweight Oran Shields in his semi-final.

Gallagher (pictured above) defeated Karolina Jaglowska from Celtic Eagles in a welterweight semi-final. Gallagher was an impressive winner on the scorecards as she booked a spot in next Friday’s final.

All-rounder Gallagher will meet Rosie Doherty from St Francis in the decider.

Dungloe man McCole, fighting in these Championships for Illies, defeated Sean Butler from Riverstown.

McCole swept the boards to claim a unanimous win and eh now meets Martin Sammon from the Olympic BC in Galway.

Shields lost out, on a 4-1 split decision, to Daniel O’Sullivan from Lucan in one of the middleweight semis.
