Gardaí are investigating two suspected arson attacks in Letterkenny in the early hours of Friday morning last.

The first fire took place at a construction site in the Long Lane area between 1am and 1:45am, while a second blaze took place on Glencar Irish between 1:30am and 1:45am.

At the Glencar Irish incident, a shed, which was close to a nearby home and containing a car, was set ablaze.

Gardaí and the Donegal Fire Service both attended the scene.

A male has been observed on CCTV in the area at the time with Gardaí now appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 074-9167100 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
