MOTORISTS miraculously escaped serious injury in a three-car collision in Donegal tonight.

The crash happened on the R239 road between Bridgend and Muff.

It is understood that the accident occurred just before midnight and emergency services attended the scene.

The three vehicles involved were badly damaged, but all the occupants are said to have come out without any serious injury.

The vehicles have since been removed from the scene and the road has been re-opened.
